Corda (“rope” in Portuguese) pendant lamp has the energy chord as the starting point of the design project. The thin frame around the glass sphere suggests a continuation of the chord and it was designed to look like that the sphere is acting over the structure. The lamp explores the ultimate simplicity of forms and rises abstract concepts like the sense of gravity as part of the design.

CORDA has always been the main element of one of the most iconic objects signed by Guilherme Wentz in 2006. For this new sand version, the designer explored new materials and found in the mixture of jute and cotton the naturalness he was looking for to work the rope in its most real state possible, keeping it as the protagonist and reinforcing the concept of the design. Besides the sand tone, the texture and roughness applied to its surface resemble the feeling of the natural touch of sand.
